In this course, students explore Spanish spelling (ortografía) through engaging readings in science, culture, and history. This is not a traditional writing class—students analyze patterns in real texts and develop control over written Spanish.

Students build advanced Spanish vocabulary through culturally rich themes such as identity, media, environment, and art. Each class focuses on meaningful communication, helping students use Spanish to describe, analyze, and express ideas in real-world contexts.

In this advanced Spanish class, students explore how human rights are explained, defended, and communicated in Spanish-language documents. We will practice reading for main ideas, identifying key rights and responsibilities, organizing information by importance, and adapting language for a specific audience. As a final project, each student creates a cartel de difusión about one human right, using clear writing, visual support, and documented sources.

An ongoing course for heritage and advanced learners focused on culture and civilization, where students discuss complex ideas while strengthening academic Spanish.

We explore key features of Latin American narrative, including social context, character development, and language use. Students also investigate regional language features such as indigenismos and regionalismos, gaining insight into the diversity of Spanish across cultures.
